Finally, a post: Pregnant!

It's been a little more than 3 months since my last post. But, since finding out I was pregnant, going on holiday vacations for 3 weeks, and giving the news to family and friends, I almost totally forgot I had a blog.
To top it all off, we are apartment hunting (need some space for the baby), and although we have not found anything yet, I can't help my mind from planning for our baby's arrival, checking out furniture, toys, gear, clothes.... Browsing lots of baby blogs to get inspiration for the nursery, etc.

These few months have been very special for us, since we kept the pregnancy a secret until we passed the three-month mark. We had our very own lovely secret for a while, and then sharing the joyous news with family and friends during Christmas was very emotional! We enjoyed it so much, and it felt so good to finally be able to talk about it!

I've had a great pregnancy so far. No nausea, no vomiting, only funny cravings like pinkberry, brown rice and oatmeal cookies. Enjoying every moment. Lots of reading, prenatal yoga, and a course to be prepared for the arrival of this Baby Girl (yeap, it's a Girl!).

Got Milk Glass??

Over the past few months, I've been eyeing those pretty milk glass vases in most interior design blogs and magazines.

While it's hard to look at milk glass and not think about our great-grandmas, I think it can look really good in a modern context because of its clean, edgy design. Plus, I love how the white enhances any color of flowers.

This past weekend I went milk glass hunting at the local flea markets, and I was lucky to score some great pieces!! Unfortunately, here in Mexico the prices are a lot higher than in the US (I've read bloggers who've found pieces from as low as 25 cents!!).

Now that I've got a white crush, on my milk glass wish list are: a cake pedestal (to display my home baked goodies) and a compote.

The pictures above, I've been collecting from several blogs for a while now.
And last but not least, I wanted to share my own milk glass collection...
