Got Milk Glass??
Over the past few months, I've been eyeing those pretty milk glass vases in most interior design blogs and magazines.
While it's hard to look at milk glass and not think about our great-grandmas, I think it can look really good in a modern context because of its clean, edgy design. Plus, I love how the white enhances any color of flowers.
This past weekend I went milk glass hunting at the local flea markets, and I was lucky to score some great pieces!! Unfortunately, here in Mexico the prices are a lot higher than in the US (I've read bloggers who've found pieces from as low as 25 cents!!).
Now that I've got a white crush, on my milk glass wish list are: a cake pedestal (to display my home baked goodies) and a compote.
The pictures above, I've been collecting from several blogs for a while now.
And last but not least, I wanted to share my own milk glass collection...

Eliminating Clutter
Today, I woke up inspired to begin my week decluttering: physically and spiritually.
I am especially guilty of magazine clutter. But I promised myself (and my husband) that this spring, the cleaning begins. This process can be quite painful to me. Why am I unable to throw them away? I don't know... I guess I'm always looking back at [some of] them for inspiration... But I'm also headed each month to the magazine stand to buy the new ones, so I need to put an end this cycle or my magazine stacks will reach the ceiling.
What am I planning to do to stay clutter-free from now on? Adopt a one in, one out rule.
Of course this is causing some anxiety, but I know that letting go will allow some new energy and new inspiration to come!

Easter cookies made by me
Just got back from an amazing week full of activities in Tulum, Mexico.
Open water diving, Cenote diving, a visit to the Mayan ruins, eating and catching the sun was just what I needed to come back loaded with good energy to the most densely populated city in the country.
Anyways, hope you all had a good vacation and a very Happy Easter!

Fashionable Kids
Nowadays, there's been a big leap in kids fashion. Kids are much more aware about fashion than they used to be. There's also been a sudden urge from parents to get the ultimate strollers, diaper bags, furniture, shoes, accessories, etc, for their offspring.
In this post, I want to share some of my favorite fashionable kids photos, blogs, and boutiques.
Blogs:
-Baby Style Watch
-Mama Said Shop
Clothing & Shoes, Online Stores:
-Gap Kids & Baby Gap, I love the basics and, what can I say about the new collections in collaboration with Stella McCartney? Just fabulous. The second season of this designer's collection will debut this March 25th.
-Bonpoint, an adorable french line of clothes for the little ones, you'll sure want half of the outfits for yourself! Now available online at www.bonpoint-boutique-us.com
- Morgan & Milo for cute shoes -classic or trendy- , at great prices.
Boutiques, Mexico City:
- Arroz con Leche, for little "guayaberas" and hand embroidered shirts and dresses.
Pasaje Polanco.
- Clayeux, a french kid-fashion store, always colorful and pretty, and made with the nicest fabrics.
Altavista 131, Mexico.
- And last but not least, Zara, which always offers great fashions at prices that won't wreck your budget.

Karl's Clogs
During the Chanel Spring/Summer 2010 show, Karl Lagerfeld clearly pointed out that this season's IT shoes are the clogs. Once meant only for nurses or chef's, Chanel mutated clogs into super-high chunky heels and engraved double C's, surprisingly making an appearance on the runway.
Would Coco approve of this?? we are not sure... What we are sure about is that they are becoming fashionable again, thanks to Mr. Karl.
Trendsetter Alexa Chung already rocks a pair of these on the cover of British Vogue's March issue.
I still haven't decided if this trend is something I like, they kind of remind me of the ugliest shoes out there: Crocs.
Will you be wearing them?
